Individual Sessions

Individual sessions are ideal for parents who want personalised support and resonate with some of the following:

What most parents aren't taught about anxiety

Anxiety starts beneath the surface

Anxiety isn't really about the behaviour you see. It's driven by patterns running underneath conscious thought.

Your Nervous System Responds

Those patterns send signals that something isn't safe — which is what drives the worry, avoidance and meltdowns.

The symptom isn't the problem

Managing the behaviour on top won't hold. Lasting change happens by shifting the pattern underneath — in you, and in your child.

How are anxiety patterns related to parenting

  • Children don’t just learn from what we say – they learn from how we respond to the world
  • If you run the ‘anxiety programs’ as a parent – you will model these programs to your children
  • You can not teach something to your child that you have not mastered yourself
  • Children learn how the world operates from their primary caregiver
  • Protecting your child from challenges can be counterproductive

Meet your Therapist, Anne Goodall

Anne is a published Author and Therapist who has helped hundreds of people throughout the world escape the anxiety cycle.

“Having been a Therapist now for over ten years, I have helped hundreds of people get out of the anxiety and improve the quality of their life.  I have found that anxiety resides at the level of our Unconscious mind and only when we can learn to eliminate those beliefs, change those thoughts, and change those patterns underneath, can we truly become free of anxiety — and help our children do the same”.

How is Creating Confident Kids different from standard talk therapy?

Most talk therapy works at the top — it helps your child understand their worry and talk it through. And that helps, to a point. But anxiety doesn’t actually live in the thinking, logical part of the mind. It runs underneath, in patterns that were never reasoned into place — which is exactly why you can’t reason a child out of them.

That’s the piece almost everyone misses. Talking, reward charts and consequences all aim at the surface, when the pattern lives below it. My Beneath the Behaviour™ method works where the pattern actually is — changing it at the unconscious level, the way clinical hypnotherapy does — and then helping your child practise the new way of responding until it becomes second nature.

It’s the difference between telling a child to feel calm and confident, and helping them actually learn it. That’s why the change holds, instead of fading after a fortnight

FAQ

This is the question I wish more parents asked me — because it’s the honest one. Here’s the truth, said plainly: childhood anxiety patterns don’t usually just fade on their own. Left alone, they don’t disappear — they grow up alongside your child. The worry that looks like meltdowns and school refusal now can quietly become the anxious teenager, then the adult who struggles with confidence, relationships and stress.

I work with those adults. So much of what I see in them traces straight back to patterns that took hold in childhood — patterns that would have been so much gentler to shift when they were small. That’s not to frighten you. It’s to free you, because you’re holding the easiest version of this there will ever be. With children, it really is pay now or pay later — and right now, you’re right on time

It really depends on your commitment to the program — but the encouraging news is that changes often start within a small number of weeks.

When you, as a parent, listen to the audios, you’ll find your response to your child begins to shift. When your child listens to their audios, their response to situations starts to change too. That’s the pattern beginning to move underneath — and it happens sooner than most people expect.

From there, as you put the changes into practice in everyday life, those new responses get reinforced and become more natural. That’s where the lasting change is built.

I’ll always be honest with you though: anxiety didn’t arrive in a few days, and it takes more than a few days to fully unwind. The deeper, sustained change comes with time and consistency — but you’ll see encouraging signs along the way to keep you going

I understand — you came here for your child, so it can feel surprising that the work involves you too. But here’s what over a decade of this work has taught me: children don’t learn from what we say, they learn from how we respond. They watch how we handle worry and the hard moments, and they quietly take it on as their own.

That’s why we start together — both of you. This isn’t only about you. We work to change the patterns running underneath for you, and we change the patterns for your child too. You’ll have your audios and guidance, and your child will have theirs. As your response shifts and your child’s responses shift, the change happens on both sides at once — which is exactly what makes it hold.

And you can’t teach a child something you haven’t yet mastered yourself, so doing this side by side is what makes the difference. It doesn’t mean this is your fault, or that the work is all about you. It means we start where change is most powerful — together — and guiding your child becomes so much easier.

This works right across childhood, and the age mostly changes how we do it, not whether it works. With little ones, we work gently through stories and characters they relate to; with older children, it’s more direct. If anything, earlier is easier — the patterns haven’t fully set yet, so they shift with less effort. But it’s never too late. I’ve seen real change in older kids too. With children, it really is pay now or pay later — and wherever you’re starting from, you’re right on time

If you’ve tried the reward charts, the calm voice, the reassurance and the talking — and you’re still here at night worrying — please hear this: you haven’t failed, and there’s nothing wrong with your child. Almost everything out there works on the surface, on the behaviour you can see. If no one’s ever worked with the patterns running underneath, of course it only helped for a while. You’ve been doing the right things at the wrong level. That’s not a dead end — it’s the missing piece, and it’s exactly what we work on

That’s completely okay — and it’s actually one of the reasons this works the way it does. So much of what we do isn’t about getting your child to talk it all out. The patterns we’re changing don’t live in the talking, logical part of the mind anyway — they sit underneath. The audios gently do their work without your child having to explain their feelings or perform on cue. And because so much shifts through your responses too, your child doesn’t have to lead the process for things to start changing.
